EDS and Jong Sociaal Contract Meet in the Netherlands

On June 24th, a delegation from EDS led by Chairman Francesco Sismondini and Secretary General Vladimir Kljajić visited Utrecht for a full day of inspiring exchange with Jong Sociaal Contract, the youth wing of Nieuw Sociaal Contract.
After a warm welcome and lunch in the city center, the delegation visited the Utrecht Centraal Museum before heading into productive talks with the leadership of Jong Sociaal Contract. We had the pleasure of meeting Chairman Thomas Beukema, International Secretary Jan-Bauke Telgenhof, and Politics and International Affairs officer Alexander Dollen, as well as other dedicated members of the board who shared their perspectives on youth engagement, political values, and their vision for the future of the Netherlands and Europe.
A very special thanks goes to Jan-Bauke Telgenhof, whose initiative, coordination, and support were key in shaping this meaningful day. From the first contact to the final toast, his commitment ensured everything ran smoothly and with a personal touch that made the visit feel more like a meeting between friends than between organizations.
The day concluded with a lovely dinner and drinks, kindly hosted by our friends at Jong Sociaal Contract. It was an opportunity to continue our conversations in a more relaxed setting, including an informal exchange with MP Jesse Six Dijkstra, touching on topics such as youth policy and digital transformation, AI.
This visit marks the beginning of a strong and sincere partnership. We’re already looking forward to welcoming Jong Sociaal Contract at our Summer University in Genoa later this year and to many more projects together!
