EDS Launches Working Group on Statutory Changes

The European Democrat Students (EDS) is launching a comprehensive revision of its statutes, with the first meeting of the Working Group on Statutory Changes taking place on Thursday, 16 July 2026, from 11.00 to 12.30 CET, via Zoom videoconference.

As announced during the Winter University in Skopje, the revision is driven by the ongoing statutory reform at the level of the European People's Party, as well as by the need to modernise and streamline the framework of our own organisation. The aim is to adopt a new, simpler and more flexible statute at the upcoming Summer University in Warsaw.

The Working Group will be chaired by EDS Chairman Francesco Sismondini, with technical support provided by the Secretary General, Vladimir Kljajic. Each member organisation is entitled to nominate one representative to the Working Group.

Registration is mandatory. Members wishing to take part should contact the representative of their own organisation, who has received the registration details.

Through this process, EDS reaffirms its commitment to transparency, good governance and full compliance with the applicable European regulatory framework, values the organisation has consistently upheld as the official student organisation of the EPP.
