On Monday, 23 February 2026, the second edition of the EDS Power Brunch was successfully held at the EPP Schuman Room in Brussels, bringing together students, young professionals, and political interns for another inspiring start to the week.
Following the strong response to the inaugural edition, the second Power Brunch once again provided an informal yet dynamic space for meaningful conversations, networking, and the exchange of ideas. The energy in the room was truly excellent open, engaged, and forward-looking reflecting the spirit of young Europeans active in politics and public affairs.
A special highlight of this edition was the presence of former Sudanese Minister, Mr. Khalid, who shared with participants an insightful briefing on the current situation in Sudan. His first-hand perspective offered valuable geopolitical context and sparked a thoughtful discussion among attendees on international stability, democratic resilience, and the role of Europe in global affairs.
The EDS Power Brunch continues to prove that meaningful dialogue does not always require a formal setting sometimes, fresh ideas emerge best over coffee and conversation.
