About the Initiative
The EDS PhD Roundtable is a new platform designed to bring together young researchers and doctoral candidates from EDS member organizations across Europe.
The Roundtable offers a space to exchange ideas, address challenges facing doctoral researchers, and bring an academic perspective directly into EDS political and policy work.
Focus Areas
Members of the EDS PhD Roundtable will work on:
- Developing Policy Proposals: Formulating concrete recommendations on higher education, doctoral training, and European research strategy.
- Discussing the Bologna Process: Exchanging views on the implementation and future of the Bologna Process within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
- Connecting PhD Students: Building an active network of early-career researchers across Europe.
- Sharing Academic Expertise: Bringing research-backed insights into EDS policy discussions.
- Supporting EDS Policy Work: Contributing to official resolutions, policy positions, and advocacy initiatives.
